Boyfriend Mistake You Should Forgive

Guys mess up. They can break our hearts, disappoint us, and even lie. I should know. Men have been screwing with me (and not in the good way) for years. My first boyfriend went on a week long vacation to Cuba and “forgot” to call me when he returned. Another boyfriend cheated on me with his ex. My last boyfriend gifted me with a nail tool kit for my birthday (how romantic). But not every offense is a deal breaker. Here, six slip-ups you should let go:

He’s late on the first date.

Yes, it’s infuriating — but you should learn the reason behind his tardiness before you kick him to the curb. Sometimes the traffic really is bad. His cell phone did die, or he was caught up at work. It happens, especially in a city as chaotic as New York. If he’s always late, however, ditch him.

You don’t feel a spark.

If you’re anything like me, you want to feel butterflies on a first date. Sometimes that spark isn’t instant. Give him another shot. It may be nerves. Or you may not be open. If you feel nothing by the third date, then set him free.

He fumbles your name.

Some of us (ahem, me!) have exotic names. It’s difficult for a man to pronounce “Sujeiry” correctly. Even Latino men mess it up and its pronunciation is phonetic in Spanish. Just make sure he gets it right the second time he takes you out.

His cellphone etiquette sucks.

You’re on a date and the guy is constantly on his phone. I know, I know, he should not get a second chance. But, well…maybe he should. He might just be so used to being plugged in that he doesn’t realize he’s too connected. So tell him. If he doesn’t listen and keeps texting and taking calls? Delete his number.

Your timing is off when you first meet.

Sometimes relationships don’t work the first time around. If you meet a man and he is suddenly noncommittal, it may be a case of bad timing. If he resurfaces and is really ready to date and commit, give it another go.

He’s a shy guy.

Shy men tend to get left behind. They don’t express their feelings as easily, or at all, so it’s easy to dismiss them after a date or two. Give him time to open up. If he is a thoughtful and wonderful man who is into you, he might just need an extra push. Who knows? He may just be the one you were meant to be with.

He’s the guy everyone is talking about. James Rodriguez, one of Colombia and the World Cup’s biggest soccer stars, is making quite a name for himself. And here are the 5 things you must know about James!

He’s basically a godsend to Colombia. The soccer player has put up 5 goals so far in the World Cup. He scored one goal in Colombia’s first matches against Greece, Côte D’ivoire and Japan. He scored an incredible two goals in the epic win against Uruguay on June 28. He was the sole player to score in the match.

2. He’s only 22!
Like, seriously? James is practically a soccer prodigy. This is his first World Cup and his debut has been nothing less than stellar. He’s scored 5 goals and we’re sure he will put up more when Colombia faces Brazil on July 4 in the quarterfinals.

3. His name is not pronounced like the normal “James.”
Just to make things clear, James’ name is actually pronounced “Ha-Mez.” Since his dazzling World Cup performance, there’s no way people will be pronouncing his name wrong going forward.

4. Sorry, ladies. He’s married.
The 22-year-old is married to Daniela Ospina, who is the sister of Colombia’s goalkeeper, David Ospina. James is a taken man and he’s got the cutest little family.

5. He’s got an adorable baby girl.
In addition to being married, James is an all-around family man! When he’s not playing on the soccer field, he plays daughter to Salome, who just turned one a little over a month ago. SO CUTE!

Fresh Attack

According to a breaking news report on Premium Times, there is a massive attack going on right now in Kautikari village near Chibok community in Borno state. According to residents of the area, the attack started around 9.30 this morning. Many residents of the village and other neighboring villages have taken refuge in the bushes.

A text message was sent by a resident to journalists and security operatives calling for help;

“Massive attack on Kautikari now. All security agencies should be notified, and call for divine help now.” the sms read

An official of the SSS confirmed the incident anonymously to Premium Times

“Yes, we also received the report, I believe action is being taken about now…but no one has been able to ascertain the nature or magnitude of the attack for now”, the source said

Nollywood actor Jim Iyke and US based music act, Emma Agu, the publisher of nigerianfm.com, are fighting over his alleged break up with actress Nadia Buari. Jim Is accusing Emma of being the mastermind behind the break up.
Agu sent out a link to his site revealing the conversation he had with Jim Iyke via email.
The blogger is angry with Jim Iyke for accusing him of ruining his relationship with the actress.

The most sickest creep and a criminal that walk the face of the earth (Jim Iyke) called me some minutes ago and called me all kinds of names. He is accusing me of destroying his relationship with Nadia Bauri.

This overrated son of a bitch with his amateurish acting skills thinks his name can bring any good to a writer or a blogger. The man with a tainted name, a rogue who has burnt every bridge he stepped on is trying to hold me responsible for what ever misfortune that has fallen him in the last 72 hours.
So this montebank sneaked into New York around 5am 3 days ago and did everything to keep it a top secret until the bubble bust right in front of him. When I got the hint that James was in Keturah’s house, I thought Keturah was lying . The girl said James came claiming that his relationship with Nadia Bauri was over. She also said james (Jim) came to pick her up for Nigeria. I told her this guy might be lying.
As a brother and one this crook calls ‘a confidante,’ I sent him an email which he never replied. He wanted to make sure Keturah never told me about his arrival to the extent he threw me under the bus. He lied against me and told Keturah stuff that got both of us into a heated argument. So I smelt a rat and decided to find out from Ghana who is telling the truth.
When I got in touch with Nadia’s manager, he maintained that Nadia was aware Jim went to Miami and insisted that he (Jim) was no way near Keturah’s house.
Nadia’s manager subsequently called him, he lied that he was in Miami. I was on the phone with Keturah Hamilton when Nana( Nadia’s manager) sent me a text message saying Jim was in Miami.
I never believed Keturah that Jim was in her house until she showed me a proof. It became very apparent that Jim iyke lied to both Keturah Hamilton and Nadia Bauri. Nadia Bauri decided to pull the plug off their ever restless relationship.
Some hours ago, Jim called to insult me. Saying maybe I want to be famous. This writer started enjoying limelight, stardom and fame while Jim was maybe in Secondary School. He said I was the only man on earth he respected till today.
I have him on tape and will play it to my world audience by 8AM New York time, which should be 1PM Nigerian Time. I need everyone out there to listen and find out why Jim Iyke should be taken off the streets. The guy can never change. That deliverance by TB Joshua never worked. It was a fluke.
This guy is bipolar , a psycho who needs to see a doctor. I will get him arrested for making threats to my life. There’s a huge difference between living in America and Nigeria. I will teach him how to live in America.
For everyone’s information, Jim Iyke is babysitting Keturah Hamilton’s dog while she is in LA with her lover.
I have been expecting Keturah to give me the number with which Jim called since he blocked his number when he called. I will track him down right away.
This guy is a monumental disappointment, fraudster, liar and a cheat. Why is he so mad? The reason is simple. He is looking for a scapegoat. Jim should hold himself responsible for whatever happened to his relationship with Nadia Buari. On the other hand, Keturah Hamilton is no more available. The girl has moved on.

This is just the crime I committed and the lady involved is now dragging my name in the mud, saying she got me passport to travel to South Africa. For God’s sake, I flew United Airways to Houston on January 30th, 2014 to film. I proceeded to Maryland where I shot another movie directed by Kingsley Ukaegbu, featuring Best Davies, Moses Efret and Oge Okoye. I returned to Nigeria on march 13 2014 and this was three weeks before the South African trip. So its stupid for someone to say she got me passport. It is very sad that when you try to support people to grow, they turn around and stab you at the back. $ 1,000 my foot! This is someone who actually begged and pleaded that she can’t afford to pay me, that I should help her. I still have a munched copy of the SMS she sent with her phone number.
