Who Brought "Badluck" To Lagos?

March 12 is a day Lagosians will want to forget in a hurry, not leaving out March 13. Why because, both days recorded the unfortunate demise of innocent Lagosians at respective locations.
On Thursday, March 12, a tragedy struck late yesterday afternoon around the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in Lagos when armed men dressed in army uniform stormed the First City Monument Bank in Lekki shooting sporadically.

It was reported that 4 policemen and 8 civilians died with many rushed to the hospital after being hit by stray bullets.

While on Friday, March 13, an inferno struck the popular mile 12 market that led to the death of 2 people as 5 vehicles, 5 motor bikes and 20 shops were burnt.

Coincidentally the two unfortunate incidents occurred while the number one citizen of the country (President Goodluck Jonathan) was in the state.

But according to some Nigerians, it is believed that The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate coming has brought nothing short of pains and sorrows.

The President who arrived at the Centre of Excellence from Ijebu Ode in Ogun state, where he went to seek the support of Sikiru Adetona, the Awujale and the supreme ruler of Ijebuland, has come under heavy criticism for his back-to-back coming to the state, as some believe it is politically motivated.

President Jonathan has visited Lagos two times in the space of two weeks and for some, the presidents’ coming has been plagued with so much “badluck”.

It will be recalled that Jonathan was recently at the #MeetThePresident event held at Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos on Sunday, March 1, 2015 and with just two weeks to the election, the president is again in a state largely controlled by the APC.
