Wishing him many more happy, healthy and non-party-card-tearing years ahead…:-). Happy birthday Baba!

A group, Concerned Citizens of Akwa Ibom State (CCAIS), has protested the various broadcast violations by the state-funded broadcast media and has consequently written a strong-worded petition to the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC), a federal agency saddled with the responsibility of regulating broadcasting in Nigeria.

A statement issued by Austin Akan, the group, among other things, is accusing the state-funded radio and television stations of not only giving ample airtime to the government of the day, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its agents but completely blank out other political parties and individuals who are not sympathetic to the government or the PDP and its agents.

In a protest letter titled: “Protest over Broadcast Violations in Akwa Ibom State”, the petition signed by Austin Akan and Emmanuel Ukpong, Chairman and Secretary respectively, the group draws the attention of the NBC to the flagrant abuse of the broadcast codes in the operations of the state radio and television stations.

They specifically mentioned that the two stations have been very unprofessional, bias, discriminating, unfair and unethical in the coverage of events and programmes in the state.

Yvonne had found the perfect wedding dress; it was fitted and flowing, and it would make her look like amazing. But her tummy rendered the dress ill-fitting.

She didn’t really mind her size and her fiancé did not mind it either,but on her special day, she did not want it to be an obstacle to perfection. And that dress was perfection.
She told Georgina, her sister-in-law. “Buy the dress. We’ll make it work.” “How?” Yvonne asked in bewilderment. “I’ve tried using a girdle oh. If that’s your solution, it didn’t work” “Buy it” Georgina said confidently.
Yvonne was unsure. If Sister made her waste money ehn.

“There.” Georgina said, looking satisfied. Yvonne was glowing, and she wasn’t even fully dressed yet. She beamed at herself in the mirror. “Shapeyou, Shapeyou” she whispered, admiring her curves.

When she finally put on the dress, it slid and clung to her figure in all its svelte glory.

She hadn’t thought it was possible, but with Shapeyou’s 6 hook very aggressive waist cincher, she felt and looked flawless on her glorious wedding day.

15 political parties and five presidential candidates today threatened to boycott the general elections scheduled for March 28 and April 11 if INEC plans on going ahead with the use of card readers for the elections.
 The concerned parties said the concept of using card readers for the forthcoming elections, has a lot of implications which may negatively impact on the conduct of a credible, free and fair elections.
“If the card reader should develop some technical problems, there is a possibility that the consequences of such development would affect about 40 (forty) or 50 (fifty) per cent of the polling booths nationwide”, a spokesman of one of the parties said.

  Oh dear! I have heard successful single ladies say this a million and one times, now Yvonne Nelson? God needs to step into their boats! While speaking on KSM’s Show on Metro TV, Yvonne says she wants to get married, she wants to be in a relationship, but confessed that both Nigerian and Ghanaian men of her age are scared about her success, they are intimidated and that is where the problem LIES. Here’s what she said on the show;
“This year I’m a secondary virgin I’m just trying to concentrate on my career. I’m not in a rush; I don’t want to marry today and divorce tomorrow because it happens a lot in the industry. Marriage is a beautiful thing but it has to be right.

I don’t want to let my mom down, I want to make her and myself happy. Most Ghanaian and Nigerian men are intimidated; most often when it’s age appropriate; then they think I’m doing better than them and that I’m going to be bossy and control them around.

 Those around my age are bothered that I’m an independent lady. That has always been the problem”. Continue…

“There was about two guys who got scared. But I really don’t mind. Middle of last year, I was trying out something and I wasn’t convinced so I backed off. It had to do with the man not being matured enough” she explained.

She however described her dream man to be…

“The person has to be age appropriate – a five year gap is okay. But I don’t want someone too old because when that happens, you can’t hold a conversation with such a person”.

Oh dear! When most people had thought the gist about D’banj and Genevieve Nnaji was gone and dead, D’banj’s close pal, JJC Skillz has managed to wake it again. Though some people are still in doubt if the two dated, this will however prove it knowing it’s coming from a close source.
While innocently answering questions in a recent interview on London’s Bang FM, JJC Skillz was asked who he would ignore, kiss or marry among these three African beauties; Genevieve Nnaji, Joselyn Dumas and Lupita Nyong’o  and JJC made it as simply as abc. He says;

‘Let’s go this way, I will ignore Genevieve, she is (a) beauty, she is amazing but I don’t want to share my brother’s ex, it’s very controversial for that reason it’s better I’m the first taker.
 She loved him like crazy but dude got other plans’.

On Lupita Nyong’o and Joselyn Dumas;

‘I will kiss Lupita, she did a very good job in the movie, 12 year A Slave, I will kiss her to console her for the assault she received in that movie and I will marry Joselyn Dumas,’
 he said.
