Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Diaspora Affairs, Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has described First Lady, Patience Jonathan as “an embarrassment to Nigerians and Nigeria.”
Dabiri-Erewa, said, Mrs. Jonathan was not only “crude” in her actions, but that her utterances had taken away the “poise” associated with the office of the First Lady.

She said of all Nigeria’s First Ladies, Mrs. Jonathan remained the “worst.”
Abike was also reacting to a recent statement by the president’s wife where he described Gen. Buhari as a dead-brain.

Dabiri-Erewa said, “Mrs. Jonathan is an embarrassment to the whole country. The only people shouting her praise or listening to her are the sycophants; outside them, nobody else does.

“She is crude and unrefined. When you travel out of the country, Nigerians keep asking you how we came this bad.”

Earlier, APC in a statement signed by the APC’s campaign’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Wednesday, the party said the President’s wife was insultive.

How much do you love Lionel Messi?
We’re almost certain that it’s not as much as Ukrainian actress Nataliya Kozhenova.
She’s made the news because she decided to get inked in a pledge of devotion. That’s right, she got a tattoo of the Barcelona superstar’s face on her chest.
Why has she done it?
The reasons are not entirely clear.
It brings Kozhenova into the limelight but we can’t exactly imagine casting directors rushing to get her on screen with that abomination on her skin.
Having said that, she hasn’t left a mark on the acting world as of yet so surely this might bag her a role or two somewhere. Perhaps in a horror film.

So earlier on this week, pretty singing diva, Seyi Shay broke the Nigerian internet when she rocked this incredibly short dress to meet President GEJ in Lagos. After photos went viral, fans and haters alike went wild with their thoughts about her outfit and most mocked her.
However, in an new interview with Saturday Beats, Seyi explained what really happened. Accrding to her, she had two outfits for the event and the outfit that caused the stir was what she wore to perform. She also emphasised that she is a respectable lady and was not planning to seduce the president in any way.  Seyi said:

“I am a very respectable young lady and I was not in any way trying to seduce the President with the outfit I wore.

I had two outfits for the event, one was for my performance and the other was worn after I performed.

The dress I was pictured in with the President was what I wore during my performance.
I came on stage and greeted everyone according to their culture and I did the same for Mr. President. He was impressed and he asked where and how I knew how to greet in his native dialect and I said I learnt it.

That was what brought about the giggling and smiles in the picture.
I’m a performer and what I do on stage doesn’t reflect my everyday life. I had two outfits on that day and it was a youth event. Who wouldn’t feel overwhelmed meeting the President?

Well, I did and I felt honoured because it is not every day you get to meet the president of your country.”

Former President Obasanjo says the problem with Nigeria is mainly the mismanagement of our resources. He said this during his 78th birthday lecture which held at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Ogun state yesterday March 5th.

“I am an incurable optimist about this country, and may be because I have seen a little bit in my short span of life, a little bit of what is possible and a little bit of what can go wrong and what can be made to go wrong.
Maybe, that is why I am an incurable optimist and I believe that all will be well in this country, we have no choice anyway, all has to be well.
My concern is that we have too many think tanks, we need more of do-tanks. The point is we can do and we have no reason why we can’t do and we have also seen that one individual can make a difference.
There is no reason why any Nigerian child, at this point in time, should not have basic education, food and nutrition, and not only Nigeria child, any Nigerian should not go to bed without food.

We have the resources to achieve all that. If we are not achieving it, does not mean we don’t have the resources, it is because we haven’t managed our resources well.”

Bola Tinubu’s media office released a statement on Monday saying they are set to sue Daar Communications, owners of AIT for what he said was a defamatory content of a documentary aired on Sunday about him on their station. Tinubu asked the TV station to retract the documentary, issue a letter of apology and demanded N20billion as cost of damage done to his reputation.

Well, AIT has counter-sued Tinubu. They are asking him to apologize for telling them to apologize to him when they were only just doing their job..lol. They are also asking for N100billion for injury inflicted on AIT. Choi! Lawyers go chop money anyhow. See AIT’s press statement after the cut..

Daar Communications Plc has reacted and rejected in their entirety the demands of Tunji Abayomi and co on behalf of Bola Tinubu over a documentary titled “Unmasking The Real Tinubu” transmitted on African Independent Television, AIT, according to a publication on its website.

The demands, which Mike Ozekhome’s chambers describe as laughable, include the stoppage of further transmission of the alleged defamatory documentary, failure which Daar communications will be made to pay twenty billion Naira representing damages.

In its reaction, Mike Ozekhome’s chambers on behalf of DAAR communications declares that AIT, in transmitting the documentary was only carrying out its constitutional responsibility to uphold the fundamental objectives of the constitution.

It states further that the documentary merely stated that Bola Tinubu generally breached various portions of the Nigerian constitution. DAAR communications plc is therefore demanding a complete withdrawal of the letter under reference, which must be given wide publicity as that accorded the letter from the chambers of Tunji Abayomi.

The media company demands an apology to be published in at least four leading national newspapers and four television stations, which must include NTA, Channels and AIT. The sum of one hundred billion Naira representing aggravated, punitive and exemplary damages for the irreparable injury inflicted on AIT is also being demanded.

The husband of the model who featured in that raunchy Calvin Klein ad with Justin Bieber has separated from his wife just weeks after the risque photos were released. (couple pictured right)
Supermodel Lara Stone, 31, left the home she shared with husband, British comedian David Williams on Tuesday March 3rd with their 2 year old son and dog.

The couple had been married for almost five years.

There are now reports that their problems started after the release of these racy Calvin Klein ads which features her partly naked & Justin touching her anyhow. Guess not all husbands are liberal.

His friends said David was used to his model wife featuring in sexy ads but the one with Justin was a different matter, especially after it was widely reported that Justin asked Lara out on a date during the making of the ads, not realizing she was married.

After many quarrels over the ads and other problems the couple had even before the making of the ads, the woman said she’d had enough and moved out of the couple’s home. Friends say their marriage is done.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) said yesterday “the string of false alarms and outright lies that characterised the news conference addressed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) had clearly justified its profiling of APC as a party of ‘one week, one lie.”

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh in a statement said Nigerians were not surprised that the APC has officially adopted the use of fabrications having exhausted its fake campaign promises which were not able to upstage the verifiable achievements of the President Goodluck Jonathan-led PDP administration.

“Indeed, Nigerians are not surprised at the contents of the recent false alarms by the APC as they are undoubtedly a reflection of the character, inner thoughts and ideology of its leaders.

These ignoble ideas are clearly incompatible with the ideology of the PDP and President Jonathan who has overtime demonstrated the qualities of a true democrat and not a reformed one”, the party said
